The Kuula Poke Story
LA STORY
It was whilst working in Los Angeles that our founder, Felicity, first encountered and fell in love with poké.
INSPIRED
Inspired by these super-healthy dishes, Felicity travelled to Hawaii, the home of poké, to learn about its native form.
GOD OF FISHERMEN
Whilst in Hawaii, Felicity discovered Ku`ula, the god of fishermen. Inspired by this ancient Hawaiian god, an idea started to take shape.
KUULA POKÉ
Felicity soon realised that the UK was missing out on something great, and thus Kuula Poké was born.
DEVELOPMENT
Travelling to Paris, the food capital of the world, Felicity learnt the delicate art of balancing exquisite flavours and textures to create a range of fresh, uniquely flavoured poké dishes with an ultra-modern twist.

After two years in the making, Felicity and the Kuula Poké team were proud to launch their flagship store, bringing Hawaiian sunshine in a bowl to the heart of Birmingham.
Within eight weeks of opening, Kuula Poké was delighted to be named in Birmingham Mail’s ’30 restaurants you should try in Birmingham city centre’, 2019.
